At HonorPoint Financial, we understand that everyone’s financial journey is different. Whether you’re working toward homeownership, tackling debt, navigating a tax situation, building stronger business finances, or getting your investments on track, we provide expert guidance tailored to your unique needs. You can choose the approach that works best for you — pay-as-you-go for flexible support or a monthly subscription for ongoing coaching and accountability. No matter where you’re starting from, we’re here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
Every engagement follows the same path, whatever you’re working on.
Start with a no-cost, no-obligation consultation. We’ll discuss your financial goals, challenges, and priorities. This is your opportunity to ask questions and learn how HonorPoint Financial can help you take control of your financial future.
We take a deep dive into your financial situation, analyzing income, expenses, debt, credit, and savings. Our goal is to identify opportunities and challenges, giving you a clear picture of where you stand and what steps will move you closer to financial success.
With your personalized financial roadmap in hand, I provide the guidance, tax expertise, or portfolio management to help you follow through — whatever that looks like for your situation.
I hold the AFC® (Accredited Financial Counselor), EA (IRS Enrolled Agent), ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant), MQFP® (Military Qualified Financial Planner), and WMCP® (Wealth Management Certified Professional) designations, and I’m a Series 65-licensed Investment Adviser Representative of HonorPoint Financial LLC, an Alaska-registered investment adviser. I’ve also completed a CFP Board-Registered education program. Together these credentials cover financial counseling, tax representation, wealth management, and investment advisory, so your plan doesn’t get split across professionals who never talk to each other.
Yes. HonorPoint Financial LLC is a registered investment adviser in the State of Alaska, legally required to act in your best interest on investment advisory work. Financial counseling and tax services are provided under the same standard of care. HonorPoint is fee-only: fees are flat or subscription-based, with no commissions and never a percentage of assets managed, so there’s no incentive to sell you products or grow your account size for my benefit.
An Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®) is a certified professional trained to help individuals and families improve their financial well-being. AFCs provide education and guidance on budgeting, debt management, credit improvement, homeownership readiness, and overall financial stability. Unlike financial advisors who focus on investments, AFCs focus on practical financial education and behavioral change.
Financial counseling focuses on the fundamentals: budgeting, debt reduction, credit improvement, and financial organization. Investment advisory is a separate, licensed service focused on managing your portfolio and long-term wealth. As an AFC® and an Investment Adviser Representative of a state-registered investment adviser, I offer both, so you’re not stuck choosing between someone who understands your day-to-day finances and someone who manages your investments.
Yes. HonorPoint Financial is veteran-owned and operated. I served in the U.S. Army and bring that background to how I work with clients — straightforward, mission-focused, and committed to results. I have particular experience working with active duty military, veterans, and military families navigating the unique financial challenges that come with service.

Not at all. Whether you’re struggling with debt, preparing to buy a home, navigating a business financial challenge, or simply want better financial habits and a clearer picture, I work with clients across all financial situations and income levels.
It depends on your goals. Some clients work with me for a few months to prepare for a mortgage, while others engage in ongoing support to develop long-term financial habits. I offer both structured engagements and flexible pay-as-you-go sessions depending on what fits your situation best.
Your progress depends on your commitment and financial situation, but clients typically work toward better budgeting and spending habits, improved credit scores, reduced debt and stronger savings, a clear plan for mortgage readiness, and increased financial confidence.
For financial counseling and tax services, yes — sessions are available via Zoom or Google Meet, and I work with clients throughout Alaska and beyond. Investment advisory services, including portfolio rebalancing, are currently limited to clients located in Alaska, consistent with the firm’s state registration.
For clients enrolled in Comprehensive Financial Planning, yes — portfolio rebalancing is available as part of that engagement. Through HonorPoint Financial LLC, a fiduciary, state-registered investment adviser in Alaska, I monitor your accounts and rebalance to your target allocation using low-cost index funds, rather than picking individual stocks or timing the market. This isn’t a standalone investment management service — it’s built into the comprehensive planning relationship.
Yes, as part of Comprehensive Financial Planning. Through HonorPoint Financial LLC, a registered investment adviser in the State of Alaska (CRD #343016), I provide investment management integrated with your broader financial and tax plan. It’s a separate, licensed service from financial counseling, for clients who want ongoing portfolio management alongside their plan rather than planning and education alone.
Yes. As an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA), I provide tax strategy and advisory services for individuals, households, and business owners. This includes reviewing prior returns, identifying missed opportunities, and building forward-looking strategies to reduce tax liability. Tax preparation is handled separately through Tax Preparation & IRS Representation and isn’t included in advisory sessions. Tax strategy sessions are available at honorpointfinancial.com/book.
Yes — this is one of my core services. If you’ve been denied a mortgage, I’ll help you identify exactly what needs to change, build a clear plan to address it, and position you for a stronger application. Many clients see meaningful progress within 60–90 days, though every situation is different.
Yes. I work with sole proprietors, LLCs, S-Corps, and small business owners on cash flow and budgeting, business tax strategy, separating personal and business finances, and retirement planning for business owners including SEP-IRAs and Solo 401(k)s. If you’re not sure where to start, a free Small Business Initial Consultation is available at honorpointfinancial.com/book.
